Scarlett Johansson, American actress (born on the 22nd of November 1985 in New York City New York) has received acclaim for her abilities to perform across genres such as period dramas to thrillers to action adventures. Johansson, born to a renowned architect, as well as producer, was brought up in New York City. Her twin brother Hunter were the youngest of four siblings. She began to develop an interest in acting at a young age and was auditioning for commercials before age seven. After that, she was enrolled in the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and later attended the Professional Children's School in Manhattan to further hone her craft. When she was eight years old, Johansson appeared alongside Ethan Hawke as Sophistry in Off-Broadway productions. At the age of nine her debut film was Rob Reiner's North (1994). Johansson was next seen in Just Cause (1995), prior to her breakthrough in the film Manny & Lo - a story of two sisters and orphans who get away. Her next film won the attention of critics for her character in the film as a teen who been injured in a horrific accident in The Horse Whisperer (1998) and she gained further attention as cynical teen who is a solitary Rebecca on the set of Ghost World (2001). Alongside her part on the television show she has also been an actor on stage for a number of years. Her performances have been spectacular in stage productions such as Wildflower. Renee Felice Smith began her journey into the entertainment industry from a young age. When she was a kid Smith was interested in acting. With the help from her parents, Smith got her first acting gig at the age of six. It was a Dannon yogurt commercial. She decided, like the majority of actresses just getting started, to improve her abilities in the theatre. While she made her on-stage debut with Wildflower she also worked with various theatre projects in the USA. She was a student at the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
